21st-25th June 2017:  Hickstead

It was off the Hickstead for The AL Shira’aa Hickstead Derby Meeting, Anja & Fell Capone had only ever competed in one class before on grass so this was going to be valuable experience for her.

The first two days Anja & Fell Capone entered the Grade C 1.30m Championship Class & the 1.25m Open, unfortunately a fence down in each class meant they didn’t progress to the final.  On the Friday they entered the Senior Foxhunter Class, Anja was much more relaxed and it showed, she came 6th out of over 70 riders.

11th May 2017:  Royal Windsor Horse Show

A day trip to the Royal Windsor Horse Show where my daughter, 15 year old Anja Moret, entered the Grade B&C 1.30/1.35m Handicap Showjumping Class with her seven year old horse Fell Capone.  This was the biggest show that she had entered of her short showjumping career and it was all about gaining valuable experience.

Anja knew she was in good company once she entered the warm up arena with many international showjumpers including the 2008 Olympic Champion Laura Kraut alongside her.  Anja and Fell Capone rode a superb clear round to gain 8th place in the grade C and 12th overall, just outside the placings.

Anja would like to thank Hollie Lansdowne at CWD Saddles for supplying the CWD saddle: www.facebook.com/CWD-Hollie-Lansdowne-572279996285... and Side By Side Clothing for the Kingsland Clothing: www.sidebysideclothing.com/
